Box Score Boone, N.C. – The Duquesne University women's tennis team continued its four-match road swing on Friday evening falling at Appalachian State, 4-0 at the Deer Valley Athletic Club. With the loss, the Dukes drop to 3-7 this season.
In doubles competition, App State swept all three matches to secure the point. At the first spot, sophomore

Kaya Rand dropped a 2-6 decision to Taya Powell and Maggie Pate at second doubles before sophomore

Ellen Shanahan were downed by Brooke Gruber and Brooke Demerath, 1-6 in the final spot.
The Mountaineers would capture the match victory after recording wins at the first, second, and third singles. Latoni dropped a 3-6, 1-6 decision to DadaMascoll at the first spot before Badics fell by a 1-6, 1-6 count to Powell at the second singles. At the third position, Roka was defeated by Pate, 2-6, 3-6 as singles matches four, five, and six were registered no result.
UP NEXT
Duquesne is back in action tomorrow, March 2, when it battles Queens for a non-conference match. The match will be played at Davidson University.
