Dukes Earn Six Medals on Day Two of #A10ITF Championships; Finish in Fifth Place

PITTSBURGH - The Duquesne University track and field team earned six medals on Day Two of the Atlantic 10 Indoor Track and Field Championships, headlined by Hannah Seitzinger's gold medal in the 500m. The Dukes finished in fifth place with 70 points, the 12th top-five finish in program history and first since 2020.

Duquesne finished the championships with seven medals, the second most in program hisory behind nine in 2014.

MEDALISTS
Hannah Seitzinger highlighted the six medalists on Day Two with a three-peat in the 500m dash. Seitzinger broke her own school record with a 1:12.17 to win gold for the third straight year, the first Duke to ever win three consecutive gold medals in a single event.

Amy Allen medaled in the same event with a personal best 1:14.42 in third place, the second straight year she earned bronze in the 500m.

Sadie Wetzel tied a school record with a clear of 1.73m (5' 8") in the high jump, which tied for the best mark in the championships but a tiebreaker gave Wetzel silver.

The relay team of Alyssa Willis, Amy Allen, Jamelah Carswell, and Hannah Seitzinger earned silver in the 4x400m with a 3:46.68, the fourth fastest time in program history.

Haley Hamilton turned in a personal-best 2:52.60 in third place of the 1000m run for a bronze medal.

Sophomore Madelyn Moretti collected bronze in the shot put with a long of 14.05m (46' 1"), which came on her second-to-last attempt.

ADDITIONAL POINT SCORERS
The 4x800m relay team of Liv Wilson, Angela Valotta, Delaney Line, Haley Hamilton picked up three points in sixth place with a 9:08.70.

Freshman Caroline Garbe earned a point in eighth place of the high jump, clearing 1.59m (5' 2.5").
