MECHANICSVILLE, Va. - Senior
Haley Hamilton tied a program record for highest individual finish, placing third at the Atlantic 10 Women's Cross Country Championships on Saturday at Pole Green Park. The Dukes took fifth place as a team, the highest finish since the spring 2020-21 season.

Hamilton topped her personal best by nearly 20 seconds with a 20:38.8 to earn the bronze-medal finish - out of 136 runners - and a spot on the all-conference list. Hamilton ties Valerie Palermo (3rd - 2016), Emily Beahan (3rd - 2007), Carrie Hucko (3rd - 2002) and Sarah Como (3rd - 2000) for the highest finish ever by a Duke at the A-10 Championships.
Junior
Gina Bolla also PR'd with a 21:20.2 in 21st place.
Ryley Schwalm was third to cross the line for Duquesne in 29th overall clocking in at 21:34.2.
Brooke Krally (21:58.6 - 52nd) and freshman
Morgan Roemer (22:16.3 - 77th) completed the DU scorers, as the Dukes had a team average of 21:33.62.
Sophia Trevenen upped her personal-best 6k time by more than a minute with a 22:40.2.

Duquesne will run at the Red Flash Rally, hosted by Saint Francis, next Saturday (Nov. 9), then compete at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional on Nov. 15 at Penn State.
