PITTSBURGH - The Duquesne University men's and women's tennis programs received team and individual academic recognition from the The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA). Both teams were named an All-Academic Team and 12 Dukes earned Scholar Athlete honors - all seven student-athletes on the women's team and five from the men's roster - for the 2022-23 academic year.
The women's team posted a DU-best 3.92 team GPA and had

Daniela Latoni,
Natasha Novak,
Margot Pessy,
Jasa Roka,
Ellen Shanahan, and
Ana Utrilla Benito recognized as Scholar Athletes. The Duquesne men recorded a team GPA of 3.49 and featured
Chris Cianciotti,
Jin Dassanayake,
Keita Duclos,
David Georgadze, and
Kaipo Marshall on the Scholar Athlete list.
To be named an ITA Scholar Athlete, student-athletes must maintain a grade point average of at least 3.5 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year and be listed on the institutional eligibility form. ITA All-Academic Teams must have a team grade point average of 3.2 or above (on a 4.00 scale) to earn the recognition.
