Dukes Earn NTCA All-Academic Team Award

Post the eighth-highest GPA in the nation

PITTSBURGH - The Duquesne women's bowling team - which finished ranked 12th nationally after making the program's second NCAA Championship appearance in April - was honored for its 3.57 team GPA with an NTCA All-Academic Team Award.

DU's GPA was tied for the eighth-best in the nation among the 42 teams honored.

The Dukes have posted a team GPA of 3.2 or better - and earned an NTCA All-Academic Team Award - in each of their seven seasons of existence.

In addition, four bowlers - Brenna Gleim, Kiearra Saldi, Emma Siekierski and Ranelle Ulanday - were named NTCA All-Academic scholar athletes for posting a cumulative GPA for 3.4 or higher for the recently completed school year.

The Dukes finished the 2022-23 season with a 70-34 record in qualifying for both the NCAA Championship as well as ITC Nationals. It was the first time in program history that DU qualified for both events in the same season.
