Latoni Named Second Team All-Conference

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - Daniela Latoni, of Duquesne women's tennis, has earned second team all-conference honors from the Atlantic 10, following a vote of the league coaches announced on Tuesday.

Latoni went 3-0 in conference play this spring and finished with an 11-7 singles record competing in matches at No. 1, 2, and 3. The senior, San Juan, Puerto Rico native battled to a straight set victory in her lone A-10 Tournament match at No. 2, capping off a strong finish to the season that featured an 8-2 record over her final 10 singles matches. Latoni also competed in all 17 matches this spring in the top doubles flight, posting an 8-9 record. She also received CSC Academic All-District honors earlier this month, and is a standout in the classroom with multiple selections to the Dean's List, A-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll, and Duquesne's Vice President of Athletics Honor Roll.

The Dukes finished the 2023 season 9-9, bowing out in the opening round of the A-10 tournament after a hard-fought match against Rhode Island.
