PREVIEW: Duquesne at No. 25 Penn State

PITTSBURGH – The Duquesne University lacrosse team goes on the road for the first time all season when they face No. 25 Penn State at 3:00 P.M. ET Tuesday.

Live stats will be available and the game will be streamed on ESPN+.

Duquesne has not beat Penn State in any of the 10 previous matchups. The last time these two teams played, Penn State won 18-4 on Feb. 23, 2022.

The Dukes are 0-2 and are coming off a heartbreaking 16-15 loss to Kent State in overtime on Thursday. Sophomore Delaney Rodriguez-Shaw tied a career-high with six goals and added an assist. Freshmen Chelsea Evans and Chloe Holmes each scored the first hat-tricks of their collegiate careers.

In their season opener, the Dukes fell to Pitt 16-10. After trailing by nine at halftime, Duquesne scored four-straight goals to open the second half. Unfortunately, it wasn't enough as the Dukes eventually fell.

Through two games, Rodriguez-Shaw and senior Jillian Caroselli are tied for the team-lead in points with seven.

Penn State is 2-0 and is coming off wins against Drexel and Bucknell. The Nittany Lions were 6-9 overall and 0-6 in conference play in 2022.
