The Dukes look to win their first conference game at home when they host Dayton on Thursday at 6:00 P.M. ET.Â
THE SERIES - vs. DAYTON
- The Dukes are 21-25 all-time against the Flyers.
- Duquesne is 13-6 against Dayton at home.
- Duquesne is 3-7 in the last 10 matchups and 2-1 in the last three home games against the Flyers.
- The Dukes are 20-22 against Dayton when they have met in conference play.

- Dayton is 2-10 overall but has won its last two games.Â
- The Flyers took down George Mason in their A-10 opener on Jan. 1.
- Last season, the Flyers lost in the A-10 Championship and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
- Destiny Bohanon is the team's leading scorer at 12.0 points per game.
- Mariah Perez (8.2 rpg) and Arianna Smith (8.0 rpg) are the team's top rebounders.
- Dayton was picked to finish in 10th-place in the A-10 this season, right behind Duquesne.
- Tamika Williams-Jeter is in her 1st season leading the Flyers.

- Duquesne fell to Dayton in a tight matchup on the road the last time they met.
- Dayton won 60-54, shutting down the Dukes in the fourth quarter.Â
- Tess Myers led Duquesne with 17 points, making five three-pointers.Â
- Duquesne shot 39.6 percent in the loss.Â
LAST TIME OUT
- Duquesne fell to Rhode Island in its A-10 opener on Dec. 31, losing 70-63.
- Ayanna Townsend led Duquesne with 17 points on 6-for-14 shooting.
- Megan McConnell had 15 points and 11 rebounds, notching her seventh double-double of the season. Amaya Hamilton also had 15 points.
- Duquesne shot just 32.8 percent.Â
STAT CHECK
- Megan McConnell is the ONLY player in Division-I Â - men's or women's - to have two triple-doubles this year. Her 8.4 defensive rebounds per game rank fourth in the nation and her 9.9 rebounds per game rank second in the A-10. Her 36 steals are the 28th-most in the country and her 81 assists lead the A-10 and rank 14th nationally.Â
- Tess Myers ranks second in the nation in three pointers with 48 and three-pointers per game with 3.43. Her 90 total threes last season led the conference and ranked 14th in the nation.Â
- The Dukes are second in the A-10 in rebounds per game (41.9, 47th in nation) and first in defensive rebounds per game (31.2, 13th in nation). Their field goal percentage defense (34.8%) ranks first in the conference and 20th nationally.
MS. TRIPLE-DOUBLE
- Megan McConnell is still the ONLY player in Division-I - men's or women's - to have two triple-doubles this season.
- Her first came on Nov. 11 against Brown. She scored 10 points, grabbed 13 rebounds and dished out 10 assists.
- Her second came against Delaware on Dec. 4 when she had 12 points, 15 rebounds and 10 assists.Â
- She is just the second player in A-10 women's basketball history to have multiple triple-doubles in the same season.Â
- She is the first Duquesne women's basketball player to have multiple triple-doubles in their career - let alone 23 days apart.
- Only one other player has had three triple-doubles in a season in A-10 history - Megan's aunt, Susie McConnell (Penn State, 3, 1988).
A-10 ELITE
- Since taking over as head coach in 2013-14, Dan Burt has led the Dukes to 179 wins. Only Dayton (194) and Fordham (190) have amassed more wins during that span among A-10 teams.
- The Dukes are also one of four Atlantic 10 programs to post a winning season in at least seven of the past nine seasons (Dayton, Fordham, & VCU).Â
- Coming into the season, Duquesne was also tied for the third-most A-10 wins (86) since Burt took over as head coach.
- Since 2013-14, the Dukes have led the Atlantic 10 in scoring offense (2x), scoring margin, field goal percentage (2x), free throw percentage and assists per game (3x).
- Duquesne has ranked at least fifth in the conference in points per game, field goal percentage and assists per game in all but one season since 2014-15.Â
RAINING TREYS
- The Dukes rank 40th in the nation and fourth in the A-10 with 8.2 three-pointers per game.
- Tess Myers ranks second in the country with 3.43 threes per game.
- Her 48 three-pointers also rank second in the country.
- She already ranks 7th in Duquesne history with 163 threes and will move into 6th-place with 20 more.
- Myers has made at least two threes in all but one game this season.
- Duquesne has made 10 or more threes five different times this year, tying last year's total.Â
- This year's team has hit 12 or more thress four times already, three more times than last year's team.
- The Dukes' 13 threes against Brown on Nov. 11, Â while shooting 44.8%, which was the fourth-highest total in program history.Â
- Last year's team made 214 three-pointers, which is tied for the fifth-most in Duquesne history.Â
HOME COURT ADVANTAGE
- Since taking over as head coach in the 2013-14 season, Dan Burt has led the Dukes to a 95-39 record in home games.Â
- Not including the shortened 2020-21 season (only five home games), the Dukes haven't had a losing record at home since 2006-07 and never have under Burt.
- The Dukes went 8-7 at home last season in their first full season at the upgraded UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse.
- Duquesne is 8-1 at home this season.
LOCK DOWN D
- Duquesne ranks 20th in the country and first in the conference in field goal percentage defense, with opposing teams shooting just 34.8 percent against the Dukes.
- The Dukes' scoring defense ranks fourth in the conference as opposing teams have scored just 61.4 points per game.
- The Dukes held opponents to under 50 points five times last season and won eight games by double digits. They have won six games by double-digits already this year.
- Duquesne held an opponent to under 50 points just once during the previous 2020-21 season (George Mason) and did not win any games in 2020-21 by double digits.
