PITTSBURGH - The Duquesne bowling team capped its 2021-22 season with a No. 12 ranking in the final National Tenpin Coaches Association Top 25 poll released on May 3.
The ranking marks the third consecutive season the sixth-year program has finished ranked among the nation's Top 12.
National Champion McKendree finished at the top of the poll with 17 of 18 first place votes. Stephen F. Austin was ranked No. 2.
The Dukes were one of five Northeast Conference teams ranked in the final poll, with all five finishing among the Top 20.
DU (63-36), which narrowly missed earning the program's second NCAA Championship bid, ranked 12th nationally in RPI and 14th in overall strength of schedule.
Duquesne's 81.52 Team Composite Performance Index was 12th-best in the country.
The Dukes have been ranked in the past 24 NTCA polls, dating back to Feb. 7, 2018, which was the third poll of the program's second season.
