Pittsburgh, Pa. – The Duquesne University bowling team was honored for its work in the classroom by being named a 2024-25 National Tenpin Coaches Association (NTCA) All-Academic Scholar Team. In addition, a total of five Dukes were named NTCA All-Academic Scholar-Athletes.
To qualify for the NTCA All-Academic Scholar Team honor, programs must have maintained a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.20 or higher during the 2024-25 academic year. A total of 49 teams earned distinction, with Duquesne recording a team GPA of 3.416 this past academic year.
The Dukes have been named an NTCA All-Academic Scholar Team in each of their nine seasons as an NCAA Division I program dating back to 2016-17, peaking as high as No. 3 in the country in 2018-19 when Duquesne tallied a 3.601 team GPA.

Student-athletes that finish with a GPA of 3.40 or better during the academic year garner the accolade. For the 2024-25 season, the NTCA recognized a total of 397 student-athletes from 66 NCAA bowling programs.
Small, selected as both the
2025 Northeast Conference (NEC) Bowler of the Year as well as the
2025 NEC Winter Scholar-Athlete of the Year, posted a 3.69 GPA during the 2024-25 academic year as a pharmacy major. She concluded the year with an overall cumulative GPA of 3.43.
Ulanday and Baker were each named to the 2025 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® At-Large Team, with Ulanday recording a 3.83 GPA in 2024-25 as a chemistry major, while Baker studies digital media arts and finished the academic year with a 3.80 GPA. Fraticelli is a health sciences major and posted a 3.64 GPA in 2024-25, while in her first year in college
Anna Clark earned a 3.81 GPA as a marketing major.
Led by head coach
Jody Fetterhoff, Duquesne recorded an overall record of 58-47 (.552) during the 2024-25 campaign, including a record of 15-9 (.625) in the NEC. The Dukes advanced to their first final of the NEC Championship in program history and concluded the year ranked 14th in the final NTCA Top 25 poll for the 2024-25 season. It marks the 39th consecutive poll dating back to 2018 that Duquesne has been ranked in the NTCA Top 25.
