Â
Elliott re-established school records eight times during the course of the year, including a time of 10.22 seconds in the 100-meter dash that also established a new record at the Atlantic 10 Championships. He also re-broke the school-record in the 200 meters at the A-10 Championships with his time of 20.74 meters. Elliott was also a member of the A-10 Champion 4x100-meter relay team.
Â
His efforts garnered Elliott his second-straight Atlantic 10 Championships Most Outstanding Performer of the Meet award. Elliott's laurels this season also included winning both the 200-meter and 60-meter dash at the IC4A/ECAC Indoor Championships and the 200 meters at the outdoor championships. Elliott was also the runner-up in the 100 meters at the IC4A/ECAC Outdoor Championships.
Â
Ebling has broken and re-broken a total of six school records this season, including his time of one minute, 48.60 seconds in the 800-meter dash at the highly-competitive University of Virginia Challenge in April. He went on to claim the gold medal in the 800 meters at the A-10 Championships earlier this month.
Ebling won the IC4A/ECAC Indoor Championship in the 800-meter run with both a school and meet record time of one minute, 47.97 seconds. The previous record at the IC4A/ECAC Championships had been set 34 years prior by Ray Levitre of Penn State in 1987.
Â
Both Elliott and Ebling were also members of the school-record holding sprint medley relay team that posted a time of three minutes, 19.15 seconds at the annual Penn Relays in April.
Athletes who rank among the top 48 in their respective event earn a berth into the NCAA East Preliminary Rounds. In addition, the best 24 relays times advance to the NCAA preliminaries. Athletes with the top 12 times/marks and the best 12 relay teams at both the East and West Preliminary Rounds sites will qualify for the NCAA Championships. The decathlon and heptathlon will not be held during the NCAA Preliminary Rounds. Instead, the top 24 decathlon and heptathlon scores in the nation earn an automatic berth to the NCAA Championship site.
Â
The University of Arkansas will host the West Preliminary. The qualifiers out of the two regions will compete in the NCAA Division I Men's and Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championships, which are held from June 8-11 in Eugene, Oregon.
