The Duquesne lacrosse team returns home for the first of four-straight games on Rooney Field when it takes on Ohio State on Wednesday, March 9 around 5 p.m.
The match against the Buckeyes will broadcast live on ESPN+.
THE SERIES
The Dukes and Buckeyes are meeting for the 19
th time. Ohio State has won 15 of those meetings, including each of the past eight. The last time Duquesne defeated the Buckeyes was a 7-6 win on Rooney Field in 2006.
SCOUTING THE DUKES
- Delaney Rodriguez-Shaw leads the team with 13 points through five games.
- The true freshman has scored nine goals, including a season-high four in the team's win over Youngstown State. She also has a team-high 15 draw controls.
- Tina St. Clair has posted 11 goals for the Dukes. She matched Rodriguez-Shaw with a season-high four versus Youngstown State. She leads the Atlantic 10 with 1.20 free-position goals per game.
- Sam King has also recorded 11 goals for the Dukes. She found the back of the net a season-high four times versus Youngstown State. King ranks second on the team with 12 points.
- St. Clair and King are tied for 10th in the Atlantic 10 with 2.20 goals per game.
- Alana Piano leads the team with nine caused turnovers and 14 ground balls. She ranks fourth in the A-10 with 2.80 ground balls per game.
- Piano has also chipped in eight goals on the season to slot fourth on the Dukes.
- As a team, the Dukes lead the A-10 with 19.00 ground balls per game.
- Corinne Desrosiers is in her fourth season at the helm of the Duquesne program.
- The Dukes were picked to finish fifth in the Atlantic 10 preseason poll.
- Duquesne is coming off of a 4-5 campaign in 2021.

- Ohio State is 3-3 overall this season.
- The Buckeyes are currently on a three-game losing-streak with losses to Denver, Colorado and James Madison.
- Nicole Ferrara and Jamie Lasda have each scored 11 goals to lead Ohio State.
- Ferrara was featured as a Big Ten Preseason Player to Watch ahead of the season.
- Chloe Johnson leads the team and ranks ninth in the nation with 7.67 draw controls per game.
- Goalie Regan Alexander has started five games and leads the Big Ten in saves (53) and saves per game (8.83).
- Amy Bokker is in her third season as head coach. She owns a career record of 257-177 over 26 seasons as a head coach (Ohio State, Stanford, George Mason, American).
