The Dukes (5-7) narrowly dropped the doubles point, before the Penguins (6-8) claimed a trio of singles matches to deal Duquesne the loss.

Priyanka Mitta earned a 6-4 win at No. 2 doubles, but a tight 7-6 loss in a tie-breaker at the top doubles spot allowed YSU to pull out the point.

After the Penguins claimed straight-set wins at No. 3 and No. 4 singles,
Natasha Novak got the Dukes on the ledger with a 7-6, 6-4 win over Jessica Stanmore.

YSU clinched the win in a three-set battle at No. 2 singles, but Duquesne tightened the final score with three-set wins at the Nos. 1 and 6 spots.
Margot Pessy rallied for a 2-6, 6-4, 6-3 win at the top competition, while Lee earned her second win over the day with a 6-1, 4-6, 6-4 victory at No. 6 singles.

The Dukes enter Atlantic 10 play on Friday, March 25 when they host St. Bonaventure at the Alpha for a match around 7 p.m.
