TYRONE, Pa. -Â The Duquesne University women's cross country team had the top-five finishers and took home the team title at the Red Flash Rally this past Sunday afternoon.
Mara Whalen won the four-kilometer race after crossing the finish line at 15 minutes, 51.5 seconds.
Angela Valotta placed second with a time of 16 minutes, 3.8 seconds, while Sophia Trevenen claimed third place with a time of 16 minutes, 34.9 seconds.
Kierra Shreffler and
Delaney Line rounded out the top-five. Shreffler took fourth overall after finishing in 16 minutes, 50 seconds, while Line was fifth overall with a time of 17 minutes, 6.8 seconds.
Duquesne will look to finish the season strong when they compete at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional Championships hosted by Penn State in State College, Pennsylvania on Friday, Nov. 11 at 10:30 a.m.
