TYRONE, Pa. – Senior Gina Bolla won the women's race to lead the Duquesne women to a team title at the Father Bede Invitational hosted by Saint Francis at B&D Acres. The men placed second, paced by sophomore Ben Shields, who finished fifth overall.

The women put five runners in the top 10 to win the 4K with 35 points. The men also had four top-10 finishers, totaling 41 points in the 6K to finish second behind Central Connecticut State, which took the top four spots and scored 20 points.

Bolla captured her first career cross country victory with a time of 14:47.20, more than six seconds ahead of the runner-up. Freshman Lauren Ciuca placed seventh in her debut with a 15:24.40. Senior Kate Saum (15:30.30), freshman Sylvia Kashak (15:31.30) and sophomore Ava Brewster (15:33.30) followed close behind, finishing eighth, ninth and 10th, respectively.

Shields led the men with a 19:08.50. Senior Nathaniel Woshner (19:28.20), sophomore Sam Freedman (19:32.50) and freshman Liam Kirkpatrick (19:37.60) finished seventh through ninth, while sophomore Jacob Bonnar placed 12th in 19:50.70.
