YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio & UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Duquesne University indoor track & field teams split up to compete at both the Penn State National Open and the Youngstown State Collegiate Invitational this past weekend.

At Penn State,
Hannah Seitzinger finished third overall in the 600-meter run with a time of one minute, 32.56 seconds. It was her first time competing in the event at the collegiate level.

Angela Valotta posted a time of three minutes, 0.49 seconds in the 1,000-meter run to take third overall. She was followed by
Laura Ehrenberger, who placed fifth at three minutes, 3.32 seconds.

Emily Brozeski and
Jamelah Carswell both competed in the Pentathlon. Brozeski took second with 3652 points, while Carswell claimed third at 3237 points.

Amy Allen finished among the top-10 in the 400-meter dash with a time of 58.41 seconds.

At YSU,
Ally Christy won the 5,000-meter run with a time of 18 minutes, 22.05 seconds. She was paced by
Gina Bolla, who took third at 18 minutes, 31.55 seconds.

Freshman
Grace Sisson took fourth overall in the 3,000-meter run. She crossed the final tape a t 10 minutes, 11.02 seconds.
Brooke Krally and
Addy Ciecierski also turned in top-10 times in the event. Krally took sixth (10:17.69), while Ciecierski placed 10
th (10:29.64).

Mara Whalen placed third in the finals of the 400-meter dash with a time of 59.71 seconds.

Haley Hamilton finished fourth overall in the 800-meter run after crossing the tape at two minutes, 22.26 seconds. Hamilton also turned in a ninth-place finish in the mile run with a time of five minutes, 10.21 seconds. Her time in the mile shaved five seconds off her previous mark.

Delaney Line placed 12
th in the event at two minutes, 26.26 seconds.

On the men's side at Penn State,
Isaac Elliott qualified for the finals in the 60-meter dash and placed second at 6.75 seconds. He also competed in the 200-meter dash and won the event at 21.16 seconds.

In addition to Elliott,
Collin Ebling finished second overall in the 1,000-meter run with a time of two minutes, 24.05 seconds.

At Youngstown State, Matt Hurley and
Ryan Ellison both qualified for the finals of the 60-meter hurdles. Hurley took fourth with a PR time of 8.28 seconds, while Ellison took sixth at 8.41 seconds.

The Dukes are back in competition on Saturday, Feb. 5 when they travel to Ohio for the Akron Invitational.
