Lewisburg, Pa. – The Duquesne University track and field teams made six edits to the program record book, highlighted by five individual marks from freshmen, while
Anna Rorrer (100-meter hurdles) and the women's 4x400-meter relay captured titles at the Bucknell Bison Outdoor Classic.
RORRER WINS
Junior
Anna Rorrer won the 100-meter hurdles in 13.99, finishing atop a 52-athlete field. She also ran a leg on the first-place 4x400-meter relay team alongside
Melani Schmidt,
Selma Bajgoric and
Eva Leatherman, which posted a time of 3:48.00. Rorrer added a sixth-place finish in the 400-meter hurdles in 1:01.71 and has now won a hurdles race in three consecutive meets.
RECORD BOOK PERFORMANCES
Freshman
Nick Keller moved to No. 2 all-time at Duquesne in the 200 meters with a time of 21.13, finishing fifth at the meet. He also anchored the 4x400-meter relay team of
Zach Nash,
Colm McGroarty and
Belal Abdelrahman that ran 3:15.34, the fifth-fastest time in program history, to place fifth.
Freshman
Dino Nadarevic recorded a mark of 49.06 meters (160-11) in the discus, the best by a Duke since 2005, to move to No. 2 on the program's all-time list.
Freshman
Melani Schmidt moved to No. 4 all-time in both the 100 meters (12.21) and 200 meters (24.53), finishing fifth and seventh, respectively.
Freshman
Sylvia Kashak climbed to No. 2 on the Duquesne all-time list in the 1,500 meters with a time of 4:26.12, placing eighth at the meet.
