PITTSBURGH - The Duquesne rowing team is set to travel east for the 2021 Atlantic 10 Championship on Saturday, May 15 beginning at 8 a.m. ET on the Cooper River in Pennsauken, N.J. The action will air live on ESPN+. 

For the first time in nearly two full years, the Dukes will vie for the A-10 title against conference foes Dayton, Fordham, George Mason, George Washington, La Salle, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Saint Joseph's. 

Duquesne posted a seventh-place finish at the last A-10 Championship in 2019, highlighted by the Dukes' varsity four taking home bronze in the race, led by Hannah Straub, Eliza Mance, Isabella Trovato, Rebecca McCallin, and Abigail Guenther. In addition, Duquesne senior Maggie Cunningham garnered First Team All-Atlantic 10 honors for the Dukes. 

This season, Duquesne's varsity eight lineup will consist of coxswain Elizabeth Kuhn, Julia Stoll, Payton Campbell, Rebecca Swanson, Emma Halfacre, Madison Barker, Mikayla Bayto, Jillian Peters and Brigid Haugh. 

The Dukes' second varsity eight includes coxswain Zara Wenzinger, Hannah Straub, Kayla Eads, Caroline Redd, Celia Gambacorta, Aynslee Sibley, Rebecca McCallin, Britta Wheeler and Isabella Abbott. 

Duquesne's varsity four lineup will showcase coxswain Catherine Egan, Megan McMahon, Hannah Valenty, Sarah Ricketts and Kathryn Ackerman. 

The action will get underway at 8 a.m. with two heats apiece of the varsity four, second varsity eight and varsity eight. 

After a 40-minute break, the petite finals of each event will be followed by the grand finals as well as the awards ceremony at 12:45 p.m. 

The Dukes are coming off a matchup on the Allegheny River last weekend when Duquesne hosted crosstown foe Robert Morris in the Steel City. The Dukes bested the Colonials in the varsity four along with the third varsity / novice eight in the non-conference tilt. 

Rhode Island is seeking its seventh-straight A-10 title on Saturday in the Garden State.
