NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - For the third time this season, Duquesne sprinter
Isaac Elliott (Ambridge, Pa. / Ambridge) has been named the Atlantic 10 Men's Track Performer of the Week, league officials announced on Tuesday.
He is the first Atlantic 10 men's track and field athlete to earn three A-10 Performer of the Week honors in one season since Charlotte's Jack Deaton in 2011.
Elliott once again broke his own school record in the 100-meter dash on Saturday as Duquesne wrapped up the 2021 regular season at the Red Flash Invitational hosted by Saint Francis U at DeGol Field.
Elliott, a native of Ambridge, Pa., ran a league-best 10.36, shattering his own record of 10.42 set two weeks ago at the George Mason Invitational. He has now broken his own school record three times this season. He was also part of the Dukes' 4x100-meter relay team which posted the second-fastest mark in school history in the event with a time of 41.24.
Elliott and the Dukes are set to compete for the 2021 Atlantic 10 Men's Outdoor Track and Field Championship this Saturday, May 1 and Sunday, May 2 at George Mason Stadium in Fairfax, Va.
