KINGSTON, R.I. - The Duquesne distance medley relay team collected a silver medal to highlight the first day of the Atlantic 10 Indoor Track & Field Championship for the Dukes on Saturday afternoon at Mackal Fieldhouse.
Duquesne sits in ninth place through six scored events with 10 points. George Mason leads with a score of 40 followed by UMass second with 37 and Dayton third with 31.Â

Megan Aller,
Bethany Evankovich,
Rachel Valotta and
Maiah Yankello took second in the event with a time of 11:51.49 for the Dukes.Â
Elizabeth Morris also tallied points for Duquesne in the 5,000-meter run, crossing the finish line in 17:23.13, good for seventh place.Â
The Dukes qualified for Sunday's finals in all but one event, paced by Evankovich. She placed first in the 400-meter dash prelims with a time of 55.78 in addition to a second-place mark of 25.00 in the 200-meter dash.
Kel-Lisa Sebwe also qualified for Sunday's finals in the 400-meter dash at 58.64.Â
Gabby Holmberg recorded the fourth-fastest time in the 500-meter run prelims at 1:16.20.Â
Yankello (2:16.51 - sixth) and Valotta (2:16.10 - seventh) qualified for the finals in the 800-meter run for Duquesne, while Lauren Ehrenberger (2:55.23 - eighth) qualified for the 1000-meter run finals.Â
Amberly Valeriano finished with the sixth-fastest time in the 60-meter prelims at 8.74.Â
Duquesne returns to action tomorrow morning on day two of the A-10 Championship beginning with the high jump at 9 a.m.Â
