YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - The Duquesne women's track and field team commenced the 2020 portion of its indoor schedule on Friday at the Youngstown State College Invite at the Watson and Tressel Training Site (WATTS).
Bethany Evankovich (Edinboro, Pa. / General McLane) paced the 500-meter dash with a time of 1:15.57, the top mark in the event in the Atlantic 10 this season.
Maiah Yankello (Monaca, Pa. / Central Valley) recorded a pair of top-10 finishes, including a second-place time of 56.67 in the 400-meter dash. This ranks third in the A-10 so far this indoor season.
Amberly Valeriano (Pittsburgh, Pa. / North Hills) added two top-10 marks, highlighted by a second-place mark in the 60-meter hurdles of 8.84, good for third in the A-10 this year.
Maris Seto (Brownsville, Pa. / Brownsville) registered a second-place finish in the high jump for the Dukes at 1.71 meters, the second-best jump in the A-10 this indoor season.
Megan Aller (New Kensington, Pa. / Kiski Area) placed third in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 10:09.51 while
Gabby Holmberg posted a fifth-place finish of 11.39 meters in the triple jump.
