PITTSBURGH - The Duquesne swimming and diving team won its seventh straight dual with a 149-113 victory over intrastate foe Saint Francis U on Saturday afternoon at Towers Pool.

Gross and Kuhn each won two events apiece on the day for the Dukes, as Gross paced the 200-yard freestyle (1:55.82) and 500-yard freestyle (5:09.86) while Kuhn bested all competitors in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:07.85) and the 200-yard breaststroke (2:28.51).Â
Duquesne earned the top four spots in the 200-yard freestyle, led by Gross and followed byÂ
Hanna Everhart (Bloomsburg, Pa. / Bloomsburg Area) (1:56.65) second,
Emma Brinton (Landenberg, Pa. / Avon Grove) (1:57.06) third and
Mary Liz Flavin (Allison Park, Pa. / North Allegheny) (1:59.45) fourth, while
Emma Menzer (Newark, Del. / Newark Charter) placed second in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:08.10).
Clare Flanagan (Allison Park, Pa. / Hampton) won the 100-yard backstroke for the Dukes with a time of 59.73 while
Audrey Steen (San Pedro, Calif. / San Pedro) finished first in the 200-yard butterfly with a mark of 2:08.88.Â
Duquesne placed first and second in the 200 individual medley with Brinton pacing the field at 2:07.83 followed by Menzer at 2:09.19.Â
The Dukes capped the meet with a first-place showing in the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:39.96 by Everhart, Gross,
Mara Voytek (Valley View, Ohio / Cuyahoga Heights) and
Sydney Sherman (Erie, Pa. / Villa Maria Academy).Â
