WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - The Duquesne women's track and field team took 12th place out of 28 teams at the Colonial Relays hosted by the College of William & Mary on Thursday through Saturday at Walter J. Zable Stadium. The Dukes tallied 33.25 points across the three-day event.
Bethany Evankovich won both the 200-meter dash and 400-meter dash, posting a school record time of 54.24 in the 400, besting her previous school-record mark of 54.41. She crossed the finsh line in the 200 in 24.72. Evankovich, along with Gabby Holmberg, Chyna Beck and Kel-Lisa Sebwe recorded a third-place time of 47.58 in the 4x100-meter dash for the Dukes.
Sebwe added an eight-place finish in the 400-meter dash with a time of 57.97.
Megan Aller (10:43.21) and Morgan Perkins (10:48.91) each posted personal records in the 3000-meter steeplechase, with Aller placing fifth and Perkins seventh in the event.
Maris Seto tied for ninth in the high jump with a mark of 1.56 meters.
