NEWPORT NEWS, Va. -  For the second consecutive week, Duquesne freshman Margot Pessy (Normandy, France / Universite de Rouen Normandie) was named the Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week, conference officials announced on Tuesday afternoon.

Pessy won 6-1, 6-0 at No. 5 singles and 6-3 at No. 2 doubles to help the Dukes collect a 6-1 victory at A-10 foe St. Bonaventure.

She improved to 4-0 in singles action against A-10 opponents on the season.

George Washington's Maria Siopacha garnered A-10 Player of the Week honors on Tuesday, as well.

Pessy and the Dukes are back in action this Friday night hosting Mount St. Mary's at 7 p.m. at Alpha Tennis and Fitness of Pittsburgh.
