HARMAR, Pa. – Duquesne finished the weekend 1-2, dropping matches to Akron and Ball State before an exciting 4-3 win over Cleveland State.
On Friday against the Zips, the Dukes fell 5-2.
Priyanka Mitta and
Margot Pessy won at #5 and #6 singles. Mitta and
Meredith Lee also won at #3 doubles.
The Dukes dropped a 5-2 decision to the Cardinals on Saturday.
Julianne Herman and
Laurel Shymansky won at #1 doubles. Herman and
Maddy Adams took #1 and #5 singles.
The third match of the weekend was a 4-3 win over Cleveland State on Sunday. Duquesne won the doubles point with Herman and Shymansky taking #1 and Lee and Mitta winning at #2. In singles, Herman, Shymansky and
Aishwarya Kona won the top three slots, all in straight sets.
