UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Shannon Taub set a new program record in the indoor pentathlon as the Duquesne women's track and field team competed in the Penn State National Invitational hosted by the Nittany Lions at the Horace Ashenfelter III Indoor Track.
Taub recorded a score of 3757, besting Louise Prevoteau's record of 3670 set in 2014. Taub posted a second-place finish in the event on Friday. She paced the high jump with a mark of 1.67m to go with a second-place showing in the shot put at 13.29m and a third-place finish in the long jump 5.54m.
Amber Valeriano set a new PR in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.83 in the semifinals on Friday.
Maris Seto posted a season-best mark in the high jump at 1.66m, good for sixth place.
Bethany Evankovich added a sixth-place performance in the 200-meter dash invitational at 24.84. Evankovich and teammates

Gabby Holmberg placed sixth in the 4x400-meter relay with a time of 3:47.14, good for third all-time in program history.
Elizabeth Morris finished seventh in the 3000-meter run invitational with a PR time of 9:53.80, good for sixth all-time in school history.
Laura Ehrenberger also posted a PR with the sixth-best time in program history in the 1000-meter run with a mark of 2:57.84.
Yankello added an eighth-place showing in the 800-meter run at 2:15.
