ATLANTIC 10 RELEASE

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - The Atlantic 10 Conference released its 2018 Outdoor Track and Field All-Rookie teams on Wednesday afternoon, with Duquesne freshmen Casey Conboy (Pittsburgh, Pa./Baldwin), Timothy Criss (Poughkeepsie, N.Y./Arlington), Isaac Elliott (Ambridge, Pa./Ambridge) and Harvey Kane (Pittsburgh, Pa./Upper St. Clair) earning A-10 All-Rookie honors.

The All-Rookie teams are comprised of the top-rookie performer in each event from meets conducted from the start of the regular season through the Atlantic 10 Championships. The teams were selected based off meet results submitted through the Track & Field Results Reporting System (TFRRS).

Elliott, who was also named the A-10 Most Outstanding Rookie Performer at the 2018 A-10 Outdoor Championship, posted the top time in both the 100-meter dash (10.61) and the 200-meter dash (21.41). Both represent new school records, as he set the 100-meter record at the IC4A/ECAC Championship and the 200-meter record at the Charlotte 49er Classic. Elliott earned a silver medal in the 100-meter dash at the A-10 Championship while also placing fourth in the 200-meter dash in his debut season.

Conboy owned the top spot among rookies in the 3,000-meter steeplechase (9:26.89), a mark he set at the A-10 Championship, while Criss bested all other conference rookies in the hammer throw (49.85m) at the Westminster Invitational and Kane recorded the top mark of all A-10 rookies in the long jump (7.07m) at the St. Francis (Pa.) Red Flash Open.
