Dukes Post 10 First Place Finishes at Red Flash Open

RESULTSLORETTO, Pa. - The Duquesne women's track and field team recorded 10 first-place marks on Saturday at the Red Flash Open hosted by Saint Francis (Pa.) at the Father Bede Track at DeGol Field.

Rachel Fyalkowski (Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield) and sophomore Maris Seto (Brownsville, Pa./Brownsville) each posted a pair of first-place finishes, as Fyalkowski won the hammer throw (43.15 meters) and the shot put (13.05 meters) while Seto bested the field in the long jump (5.65 meters) and the high jump (1.65 meters).

Also earning first-place finishes for the Dukes: sophomore Megan Aller (New Kensington, Pa./Kiski Area) in the 1500 meter run (4:47.69), sophomore Maiah Yankello (Monaca, Pa./Central Valley) in the 400 meter hurdles (1:01.76), freshman Gabby Holmberg (Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield) in the triple jump (11.27 meters) and junior Elizabeth Morris (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks East) in the 3000 meter run (10:14.30).

In addition, Duquesne won two relays on the day in the 4x400 with Yankello, freshman Chyna Beck (Canonsburg, Pa./Canon-McMillan), Holmberg and sophomore Kel-Lisa Sebwe (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan) (3:53.56) as well as the 4x800 with sophomore Rachel Valotta (Pittsburgh, Pa./Plum), freshmen Tori Kocsis (Johnstown, Pa./Richland) and Ava Pietrzyk (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Hills) along with Morris (9:41.82).
