MEET NOTES
- The Dukes will head to Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pa. for the second consecutive meet this Saturday, April 21 for the Bucknell Team Challenge at Christy Mathewson Memorial Stadium. The action is slated to get underway at 10:30 a.m. with the discus.
- Duquesne freshman Isaac Elliott (Ambridge, Pa./Ambridge) highlighted last week's meet for Duquesne, earning Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week honors after winning the 100 meter dash and anchoring the Dukes' first-place 4x100 meter relay team in chilly temperatures at Bucknell. Elliott ranks second in the A-10 so far this season in both the 100 meter dash and the 200 meter dash.
- Elliott, along with fellow freshman Andrew George (Louisville, Ohio/St. Thomas Aquinas) as well as seniors Robert Norman (Moon Township, Pa./Moon Area) and David O'Such (Collegeville, Pa./Spring-Ford) won the 4x100 meter relay with a time of 41.71. This is the fastest time for the Dukes in the event this season.
- Junior Preston Hogue (Ellicott City, Md./Mount Hebron) placed third in the 400-meter hurdles with a season-best time of 54.82.
- On the women's side last weekend, freshman Chyna Beck (Canonsburg, Pa./Canon-McMillan) posted four top-ten finishes while classmate Gabby Holmberg (Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield) added three top-ten marks for the Dukes.
- Beck, along with sophomores Morghan Hyatt (Westerville, Ohio/Westerville Central), Maiah Yankello and Kel-Lisa Sebwe (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan ) paced the 4x800 meter relay with a time of 3:56.85.
- Holmberg placed third in the triple jump with a mark of 11.65 while Beck followed in seventh with a jump of 11.44 meters.
- In addition to Elliott's pair of top three times in the conference this season, some other Dukes to sit near the top of the conference in their respective events include:
- Rico Galassi (Dickson City, Pa./Holy Cross) in third in the 5000 meter run (14:17.53)
- Yankello third in the 400 meter hurdles (1:01.33)
- Sophomore Alex Long (Waymart, Pa./Western Wayne) third in the the triple jump (14.61 meters), - - O'Such fourth in the 400 meter dash (47.80)
- Senior Jenny DelSignore (Tonawanda, N.Y./Sweet Home) fourth in the 5000 meter run (16:50.26) - - Hogue fifth in the 400 meter hurdles (54.82)
- Junior Shannon Taub (Philadelphia, Pa./Council Rock) and sophomore Maris Seto (Brownsville, Pa./Brownsville) tied for fourth in the high jump (1.70 meters)
- Freshman Timothy Criss fifth in the hammer (49.85 meters)

The Dukes wrap up the regular season next weekend with both the Penn Relays (April 26-28) and the Saint Francis (Pa.) Invitational (April 28).
