MEET NOTES
- The Dukes continue the outdoor season this Saturday at the Carnegie Mellon Quad Meet at Gesling Stadium.
- There will be five other teams competing at Saturday's meet, including Pittsburgh, Carnegie Mellon, Denison, Penn State Behrend and Westminster.
- Duquesne opened the 2018 outdoor campaign at the Charlotte 49er Classic earlier this month.
- On the women's side in Charlotte, sophomore Maris Seto (Brownsville, Pa./Brownsville) posted a third-place mark in the high jump (1.63m) while fellow sophomore Maiah Yankello (Monaca, Pa./Central Valley) registered a pair of top-10 finishes for the Dukes, placing sixth in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:13.47 and seventh in the 400-meter hurdles with a mark of 2:13.47.
- On the men's side, freshman Isaac Elliott (Ambridge, Pa./Ambridge) set a pair of school records in his collegiate debut for the Dukes in the 100-meter dash (10.62) and the 200-meter dash (21.41). These two marks shattered the previous school records set by Shakeil Carter of 10.65 in the 100 meter and 21.49 in the 200 meter.
- Senior Rico Galassi (Dickson City, Pa./Holy Cross) recorded a third-place finish in the 5,000-meter run for Duquesne with a time of 14:32.06. Freshman Harvey Kane (Pittsburgh, Pa./Upper St. Clair) added a sixth-place mark in the high jump (1.95m) while junior Jake Heinauer (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Hills) placed eighth in the 3,000-meter run (8:38.33) for DU.
