RESULTSLEXINGTON, Va. - In the Dukes' final indoor meet before next weekend's Atlantic 10 Indoor Track and Field Championships, Duquesne took part in the Virginia Military Institute (VMI) Winter Relays on Friday and Saturday at the VMI-Corps Physical Training Facility.

The Dukes recorded seven top-five finishes on the meet, highlighted by a first-place time in the 4x400-meter relay (3.49.18) by freshman Gabby Holmberg Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield) and sophomores Bethany Evankovich (Edinboro, Pa./General McLane), Kel-Lisa Sebwe (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan) and Maiah Yankello (Monaca, Pa./Central Valley).

Sophomore Maris Seto (Brownsville, Pa./Brownsville) finished second in the high jump with a mark of 1.66m, while freshman Madeline Maurer added a second-place time of 3:08.66 in the 1000-meter run.

The Dukes' 4000-meter distance medley relay team of sophomore Megan Aller (New Kensington, Pa./Kiski Area) and juniors Sydney Sokol (Erie, Pa./McDowell) Erin Durnin (Southampton, Pa./Villa Joseph Marie) and Taylor Pletz (North East, Pa./Mercyhurst Prep) recorded a second-place mark in the event with a time of 12:13.69.

Sophomore Morgan Perkins (Erie, Pa./Mercyhurst Prep) and freshman Tessa Franchi (Gibsonia, Pa./Pine-Richland) placed third (10:19.61) and fifth (10:23.84), respectively, in the 3000-meter run for Duquesne.

Chyna Beck contributed a fifth-place finish in the triple jump for the Dukes with a mark of 11.25m.
