YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - The Duquesne women's track and field team began the 2018-19 indoor season on Friday at the Youngstown State Icebreaker at the Watson and Tressel Training Site.
Redshirt sophomore
Bethany Evankovich paced the Dukes with three top-five finishes, highlighted with a first-place mark in the 400-meter dash (55.42). She placed third in the 200-meter dash (24.95) and fourth in the 4x400-meter relay (4:00.85)Â with teammates

Shannon Taub added two top-five marks for Duquesne in the high jump (1.65m) and long jump (5.62m).Â
Three Dukes posted second-place finishes on the day, including Â
Laura Ehrenberger in the 800-meter run (2:19.21),
Rachel Valotta in the 3000-meter run (10:16.66) and
Maris Seto in the triple jump (11.48m).
Freshman
Amberly Valeriano added a fifth-place mark in the 60-meter hurdles (8.89) in her collegiate debut.
