RESULTS
UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The Duquesne women's track and field team competed at the 2018 Penn State National Invitational on Friday, Jan. 26 and Saturday, Jan. 27 at the Horace Ashenfelter III Indoor Track. The Dukes recorded five top-five finishes across the two-day event which featured 25 teams.
Senior Jenny DelSignore (Tonawanda, Pa./Sweet Home) set a school record in the 3000m run with a time of 9:42.52 in the event. She bested her PR in the race by over seven seconds en route to the school-record performance.
Sophomore Maiah Yankello (Monaca, Pa./Central Valley) placed second in the 800 meter run with a mark of 2:14.43.
In addition, she was part of Duquesne's 4x400 meter relay team which finished third in the event at 3:50.58 with freshman Gabby Holmberg (Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield) and fellow sophomores Kel-Lisa Sebwe (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan) and Bethany Evankovich (Edinboro, Pa./General McLane).
Evankovich added a fifth-place mark of 56.23 in the 400 meter dash, while junior Shannon Taub (Philadelphia, Pa./Council Rock) finished fourth in the high jump (1.65m) and junior Taylor Pletz (North East, Pa./Mercyhurst Prep) placed fifth in the 1000 meter run (2:55.16).

The Dukes are back in action next weekend at the Youngstown State National Invitational on Feb. 2-3 at the Watson and Tressel Training Site (WATTS) in Youngstown, Ohio.
