Men's Track Finishes 11th at Colonial Relays

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - The Duquesne men's track and field team finished 11th of 45 teams with 25 points at the 2017 Colonial Relays hosted by the College of William and Mary.

The event was highlighted by Rico Galassi's new school record of 8:21.95 in the 3000k. Galassi set the previous school record of 8:27.34 at the 2016 Colonial Relays. His first place finish earned Duquesne 10 points.

The DMR team of Jeff Van Kooten, David O'Such, Michael Bove and Galassi finished in second place, crossing in 10:01.65, earning eight points.

Duquesne's other point scorers were Dino Andrade in the steeplechase (6th place, 9:19.29, 4 points) and O'Such in the 400m (6th place, 48.56, 3 points).

UP NEXT: The Dukes travel to Lewisburg, Pa. for the Bucknell Outdoor Classic April 14-15.
