April 28, 2017

PITTSBURGH - The Duquesne football Be The Match Bone Marrow Registry Drive recruited 777 new members on Wednesday, putting DU at the top of the nation-wide list of over 70 schools that participated in the event.

Student-athletes from all sports assisted with the drive which ran from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm at various locations on campus.

"We'd like to send a huge thank you to all the student-athletes, coaches, support personnel and administration who contributed their time and support to our annual Be The Match Bone Marrow Registry Drive," said assistant football coach Tyler Scudder, who helped organize the event.

"We had more volunteers from other programs than ever before and the enthusiasm was overwhelmingly apparent. There is nothing more gratifying than seeing our athletes team together and sacrifice of themselves to make a positive impact on the lives of others."
