Junior Kyle Trinch placed 36th of 48 competitors in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 52.91 Thursday evening at the NCAA East Regional. The event was held on the campus of the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, Fla.

The top 24 competitors advanced to the NCAA final in Eugene, Ore.

Trinch turned in a school record time of 52.10 earlier this season at the Atlantic 10 Championship.
