PITTSBURGH - The Duquesne women's bowling team competed in its first of two Northeast Conference tournaments over the weekend at Wallingford, Conn.

Kelsey Hackbart (above) posted the highest individual score of any bowler with a 268 in DU's 973-878 win over Caldwell. Hackbart finished fifth among individual bowlers with a 198.14 average - best among all rookies.

The Dukes posted wins over Caldwell and No. 21 ranked St. Francis Brooklyn. DU also came up just shy in three additional matches versus ranked teams, falling to #21 St. Francis Brooklyn by 20 pins, by 34 pins to #7 Fairleigh Dickinson and 45 pins to #19 Saint Francis U.

The Dukes will be idle until the new year when they compete at the Buckeye Baker Classic in Columbus, Ohio Jan. 14-15.
