Oct. 17, 2016 PITTSBURGH - Duquesne freshman running back A.J. Hines was named Northeast Conference Rookie of the Week for the fifth time for his performance in Duquesne's 31-24 win over Robert Morris on Saturday.
The Wilson, N.C. native carried 27 times for 182 yards and added four catches for 64 yards in the win. He had 100 yards on 12 carries in the third quarter alone. It was the third 100-yard rushing game for Hines, whose 114.8 yards per game ranks eighth nationally and first among FCS freshmen.
Duquesne (4-2, 1-0) plays at Saint Francis U on Friday night at 7:00 p.m. (ESPN3).
