Duquesne's lacrosse team fell to 2-5 on the season with a 9-5 loss at Canisius Wednesday evening. Five different Dukes scored in the contest.

Amanda Kidder came back from an injury and scored the first goal of the contest to give the Dukes a 1-0 lead. However, the Griffs would score six of the next seven goals to give DU a hole they couldn't dig out of.

Scoring goals for the Red and Blue were Kidder, Jill Vacanti, Kaelin Shaw, Tess Drotar and Clare Hurley. Kidder had the lone DU assist and Drotar had game highs of four caused turnovers and five ground balls as the Dukes won only two of 16 draw controls.

The Red and Blue return to action on Sunday, March 22 as they travel to Mount St. Mary's for a 1:00 pm contest.
