QUICK RECAP: The Duquesne women's tennis team improved to 6-4 after a hard-fought 4-3 victory over Buffalo on Friday afternoon.

The match started out with a sweep of doubles as the team of Kylie Isaacs and Sarah Shashura were 8-5 winners at #1 doubles and Ally Miller and Maddy Adams took #3 double 8-3. Chandler Consonery and Megan Wasson were leading 8-5 at #2 when the point was decided.

The Dukes jumped ahead early at #4 singles when Adams' opponent retired after the first set which Adams won 6-1. Issacs improved to 7-1 at #1 singles after a 6-2, 2-6, 6-3 win. Ally Miller was a 6-1, 7-5 at #6 singles.

This was the first victory over Buffalo since Feb. 15, 2004.

NEXT MATCH: The Dukes head to Florida for three matches over Spring Break. Duquesne will play Palm Beach Atlantic, Lynn and Florida Atlantic.
