Dec. 10, 2015 Duquesne University junior linebacker Christian Kuntz (Pittsburgh, Pa./Chartiers Valley) has been named to the 2015 Madness FCS Football All-American Third Team as announced today by College Sports Madness.
Kuntz, the NEC Defensive Player of the Year and First Team All-Conference choice, leads the nation in tackles for a loss with 26 for a total of 114 yards. A two-time NEC Defensive Player of the week and the STATS FCS Defensive National Player of the Week on Nov. 23, he also led the team with four interceptions for 61 yards and two touchdowns, 11 sacks for a loss of 70 yards, six pass break-ups and six quarterback hurries. He finished the season third on the team with 72 total tackles (47 solo).
The Dukes, who won the Northeast Conference title, finished the season 8-4 (5-1 NEC) and played in their first ever FCS Playoff.
