Duquesne University senior linebacker Sam Martello (Westlake, Ohio/St. Edward) was named to the 2015 CoSIDA Academic All-District 2 Football Team for the third straight season.

Martello, an Accounting major with a 3.68 cumulative grade point average, leads the team and is 9th in the NEC with 63 tackles (33 solo). He has also added 3.5 tackles for a loss of 19 yards, a sack for -12 yards, an interception, three pass break-ups, a quarterback hurry and two fumble recoveries through nine games.

He will be placed on the National ballot which will be released December 3.
