QUICK RECAP: The Duquesne women's tennis team opened the 2015 spring season by splitting a pair of matches. The Dukes defeated former Atlantic 10 Conference member Butler 7-0 on Saturday before falling to #63 Louisville 7-0 on Sunday. Both matches were played at Bass-Rudd Tennis Center in Louisville, Ky.

The Dukes had a clean sweep of the Bulldogs, starting with the doubles teams of Kylie Isaacs and Sarah Shashura winning 6-2 at #1 and Alexa Miller and Chandler Consonery winning 6-3 at #2. After the doubles point was clinched, #3 doubles match with Megan Wasson and Zuzanna Stelmaszak was unfinished.

In singles, Isaacs (6-3, 6-3), Alexa Miller (6-4, 7-6), Consonery (6-2, 7-6), Wasson (6-4, 7-5) and Ally Miller (6-3, 6-0) were all straight set winners. After falling in the first set, Spencer Caravaggio came back for a 4-6, 6-3, 7-5 victory.

The following day, Duquesne played nationally ranked Louisville. The #1 doubles team of Isaacs and Shashura were 6-4 winners. However, this was the only doubles win the Dukes would get.

In singles, the Cardinals were straight set winners at #1 through #5. Stelmaszak split her first two sets 6-3, 2-6 before falling 10-7 in a breaker.
