QUICK RECAP: The Duquesne women's tennis team participated in the Rocket Invitational hosted the University of Toledo. Spencer Caravaggio went a perfect 3-0 in the 3rd Flight in A Singles. Caravaggio was victorious over Lauren Thai of Toledo (2-6, 6-1, 13-11), Sara Sherif of IPFW (7-5, 6-0) and Nynke Van Der Goot of Detroit (3-6, 6-1, 10-5).
On Day 1, the Dukes swept Toledo and IPFW in A Singles with Alexa Miller, Kylie Isaacs and Caravaggio getting wins. Sara Mitrovic was victorious in her B Singles match against Toledo as was Megan Wasson against IPFW.
In doubles the team of Wasson and Mitrovic were winners over IPFW, as were Caravaggio and Ally Miller. Isaacs and Sarah Shashura won against Detroit.
UP NEXT: The Dukes will travel to Blacksburg, Va. for the 2014 USTA/ITA Atlantic Regional Championships on Oct. 17-20.
