Oct. 27, 2014 Duquesne's Devin Rahming (Miami, Fla./Coral Reef) was named the Northeast Conference Special Teams Player of the Week as announced by the conference office. Rahming returned the opening kick-off of Saturday's 48-27 win over Alderson Broaddus 97 yards for a touchdown.
Rahming, who also logged 22 rushing yards and 44 receiving yards during the Week 9 win, added a 25-yard kickoff return late in the third quarter. The performance bumped Rahming up into third place on the NCAA FCS leader board for kickoff return average (33.0 ypr). He also returned one punt for 18 yards against ABU and ranks eighth among the national leaders in punt return average (13.8 ypr).
In addition to the NEC laurels, Rahming was named the Corvias ECAC Special Teams Player of the Week for Division I FCS and was one of seven players named CFPA FCS National Kickoff Returner Performers of the Week.
The Dukes return to NEC action on Saturday, Nov. 1 as they travel to Saint Francis for a 1:00 pm kick-off.
