PITTSBURGH - Duquesne linebacker Zach Richert (Gibsonia, Pa./Pine-Richland) was among 55 players who participated in the Miami Dolphins three-day rookie mini-camp this past weekend.
The camp combined the Dolphins nine drafted players with 19 undrafted free agents, 18 rookie tryout players and nine first-year players that were in NFL camps last year.
Richert, the 2013 Duquesne Male Student-Athlete of the Year, played in all 11 games this past season. He finished third on the team with 2.0 sacks as a third-down specialist. The 6-0, 195-pound two-year co-captain added 21 tackles (12 solo) and an interception.
The rookie camp ran from Friday through Sunday.
