Women's Track Finishes Second at Bucknell Team Challenge

LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Duquesne women's track and field team finished second of eight teams at the 2012 Bucknell Team Challenge held on Saturday.

Four Dukes finished with ECAC qualifying times as did the 4x100m relay team.

Nicole Cherok broke her school record set last weekend in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:00.89. Sherie Key tied her school record (and Kristen Micsky in 2005) in the high jump with a mark of 5-7.

Chelsea Zahn had a PR in the discus with a throw of 140-1 and Shannon Abraham also had a PR in the 400m, crossing in 55.63.

The 4x100 team of Shannon Abraham, Nicole Cherok, Taylor Glenn and Tacquaya Tobias were first overall finishing in 47.50.

Up next for DUQ are the 117th edition of the Penn Relays.
