Women's Track Participates in Fred Hardy Invitational

Fred Hardy Invitational Results Get Acrobat Reader

RICHMOND - The Duquesne women's track and field team participated in its second event of the 2012 outdoor season this past weekend at the Fred hardy Invitational.

Tacquaya Tobias qualified for the ECAC Championship in the long jump after finishing in first place with a jump of 19-11. Tobias not only broke the school record by an amazing 9.75 inches (previous held by Kristen Micsky, 19-1.25 in 2003) but also set a Fred Hardy Invitational record and a Robins Stadium record.

Shannon Abraham qualified for the ECAC Championship in the 400m with a personal-best time of 55.94. Abraham also qualified for the ECAC Championship in the 4x400 with Nicole Cherok, Taylor Glenn and Anna Simone with a time of 3:49.78, which was good for second place in a field of 16 teams.

Chelsea Zahn qualified for the ECAC Championship in the discus with a personal-best throw of 143-6.5. Zahn finished third in a field of 25 throwers.

The Dukes return to Virginia this weekend for the Colonial Relays which will be held in Williamsburg on Apr. 6-7.
