Duquesne's lacrosse team evened its record at 2-2 with an 11-8 victory at UMBC Saturday afternoon. Haley Marafioti scored four goals and added an assist to lead the Dukes. Meredith Dunn added two goals and an assist and Elise Caldwell and Caitlin Prince each had a goal and two assists. Amanda Kidder had a goal, five dra controls and two caused turnovers. Liz Walker made a season-high 13 saves in goal.

The Red and Blue jumped out to a 5-1 lead, but through the first 13 minutes, but were held scoreless for the final 17 as UMBC scored six straight goals to take a 7-5 lead into the half.

DU amped up the intensity in the second half however, outscoring the Retrievers, 6-1 in the period to capture the win.

The Dukes return to action on Wednesday, March 7 as they host Canisius at 4:00 pm on Rooney Field.
