BOSTON - The Duquesne women's track and field team placed 27th of 50 teams at the 2012 ECAC Division I Women's Championships held at the Reggie Lewis Track and Athletic Center.
The 4x800 team of Shelby Haitz, Elise Farris, Haley Pisarcik and Amber Valimont finished fifth in the preliminary race with a time of 9:05.74. In the finals, the team improved its time by almost four seconds, finishing fourth overall with a time of 9:01.78 and earned the Dukes five points.
Tacquaya Tobias earned three points in the long jump after her sixth placed finish with a distance of 19-00. Ashley Adams earned two points in the shot put after finishing seventh with a throw of 45-3.75. Amber Valimont earned one point after finishing eighth overall in the mile with a time of 4:54.20.
